Information we collect

ChatLink stores information you choose to provide, including your email address, username, age, gender, profile bio and optional profile photos. Messages and images you send are stored so they can be delivered to the other participant and shown in the conversation.

Online status

When you are signed in, ChatLink may publish limited presence information such as username, gender and profile image to the online member list. Presence is used to show whether members are currently connected.

Guest chats

Random chat can be entered without a normal account. The service creates an anonymous session and assigns a temporary guest username. Guest messages and uploaded images may be stored for the duration needed to provide the chat service and safety functions.

Safety reports

Reports you submit may be stored for moderation and abuse prevention. ChatLink does not display your report details to the reported member.

Authentication and infrastructure

ChatLink uses Supabase for authentication, database, storage and realtime services. Cloudflare Turnstile is used for bot and abuse protection when enabled. These providers process data according to their own terms and privacy policies.

Security

Passwords are handled by the authentication provider and are not stored in your profile row. Do not share passwords or financial information in public profiles or chats.

Your choices

You can update your bio and photos from Profile. You can request account deletion through the site operator. Some records may be retained when required for security, abuse prevention or legal obligations.
